So very spacious & charming! The wood, creaking floors & stairs added to the charm. Enjoyed our evenings relaxing after the long days at the covered bridge festival. Timely communication from Mark & easy check in. The steps off the back porch were warped, so had to be careful.

We had a wonderful stay! Lovely apartment, very clean, and very well-appointed with coffee, tea, plenty of towels, etc. The location was terrific for daily trips back and forth to ISU, and the neighborhood felt very safe.

Enjoyed the stay very much. A very well kept property and close to all the shopping and restaurants in town. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Elkader.

It’s a very beautiful place in perfect location.
Very lovely house with a lot of space and with a big kitchen, we definitely felt like home over there.

Clean, well maintained. Beds are comfortable and plenty of nice pillows. Well equipped kitchen for our needs. We will absolutely book again next year when we make our annual trip to Elkader for deer hunting.
I would note that if you are booking and have an aversion to stairs, this is not for you. The stairs didnt bother us at all!
